Eleanor is a production company that, true to its name, shines a bright light on luminary directorial talent. We’re seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team.
This role reports directly to the company Controller. Assists in preparing, processing, and maintaining Company financial documents. Work may be general in nature, involving combinations of the listed accountabilities, or very specialized. This is an entry level position with potential for career growth.
• Organizes incoming invoices, petty cash requests, and vendor inquiries.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year end close procedures.
• Generates invoices, distributes, and tracks accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Facilitated monthly customer and vendor reconciliation.
• Weekly credit card reconciliation
• Weekly accounts payable analysis
• Completes consistent audits of project wrap folders and expenses for completeness
• Overhead expense and purchase order maintenance
• Maintains company job status and performance matrices
• Maintains database of job contacts, W9 documents, invoices, and other important information.
• Prepares and submits purchase orders to the Controller in a timely manner for payment processing.
• Assists with general office duties to include filing, light typing, copying, errands and inventory/supply control as needed.
• Handles routine inquiries and interactions with Eleanor staff or external contacts.
• Compiles quarterly reporting materials for presentation to the President.
• 2-4 years relevant experience in a quantitative position
• General knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Familiarity with NetSuite, G-Suite, Airtable is a plus
• Proficient in data compilation and analysis
• High School or equivalent
• General office, bookkeeping or accounting experience. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations. Ability to use computers for data entry and word processing.
• Highly motivated self-starting individual
• Quick-thinking, curious, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience building VBA/Macros is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time Staff
Salary: $60k – $70k depending on experience
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Required), 100% On site
