20th Century Fox-based film production company New Regency Productions (The Revenant, The Big Short, Birdman, Gone Girl, 12 Years a Slave, Alvin & the Chipmunks, Noah, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and many others) is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join it’s Finance & Accounting department.

Requirements

Filmed entertainment industry experience and experience with MAS-90 or other similar accounting software application required * Minimum 2-3 years of experience in A/P – other areas of accounting a plus * Bachelor’s degree desired but not required * Proficiency in Excel and Word * Superior professional verbal and communication skills * Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the full-cycle Accounts Payable process: review invoices, verify accuracy, G/L coding, route for proper approval and insure proper internal controls are followed, review data entry, weekly check run. The A/P specialist in this role must be able to efficiently and timely process all vendor invoices, company expense reimbursements, and be able to communicate procedures and company expense policies in a professional manner, process all freelance and contractors for shows, writers payments and corresponding PH&W contributions, and simultaneously verify WHT eligibility with properly documented IRS forms. Must be able to manage and track company credit card charges, approvals, and proper receipts.

As the Accounting Coordinator, candidate must be able to maintain the Fixed Asset Schedule and record quarterly depreciations, reconcile development and film costs, various intercompany accounts, and record corresponding G/L transactions as well as adjustments. The qualified candidate must also be able to reconcile studio participation statements, prepare cost-to-date reports and production rebills, record recurring amortizations, accrued vacation, workers’ comp and other accruals. As an integral member of the team, the Accounting Coordinator will prepare documentation and update schedules for Sales & Use taxes, VAT filing, and MISC-1099 year-end tax filing.
