Accounting Manager- Entertainment Production- Los Angeles, CA

Accounting Manager – Entertainment Production, will be integral part of the ALTOUR finance team responsible for day-to-day financial operations including entertainment production accounting, billing and reporting. This position will report directly to the Controller and will provide a range of accounting support services to both internal and external clients.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage day to day accounting operations such as billing and expense processing (vendor invoices, check requests credit cards, etc.) including the supervisor of accounting specialists.
• Liaise with both internal and external clients providing support and dispute resolution
• Assist in month-end activities
• Develops, enhances and maintains automated or manual systems and procedures to facilitate and support financial operations
• Produces and reviews regular and ad-hoc financial / operating reports and account reconciliations
• Provide financial planning and analysis decision support as requested by Senior Management
Client Service
• Establish a working relationship with the client contacts on each entertainment production
• Respond to all communication relating to account activity and invoicing
• Work closely with the post-production accountant to ensure all outstanding invoices are satisfied
Internal Operations
• Maintain communications with the lead ALTOUR travel agent assigned to each production; work collaboratively to provide exceptional client support and service
• Review and reconcile credit expenses incurred by ALTOUR to generate correct client charge backs
Position Requirements:
• BA in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 7 years experience in the film, television or music industries
• Minimum of 5 years management supervisory experience of an accounting team.
• Expert user of Microsoft Excel and experience with integrated accounting systems
• Experience developing and implementing process and procedures within an accounting system
• Impeccable organization skills; ability to complete work with a high attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritize a heavy workload and deliver projects by deadline; balancing multiple priorities will be required
• Superior customer service skills dealing with both internal and external clients
• Strong partnership and collaborative style with excellent oral, written and presentation skills
