Job Description

The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, able to process many simultaneous tasks with accuracy, have strong communication skills, can manage multiple processes simultaneously, and take the initiative to drive process improvements. Equivalent experience would be highly experienced 2nd Assistant Accountant

•Coordinate and manage pre-production/wrap on various productions including but not limited to: bank account(s)set up, payroll/accounting system(s) set up, ordering check stock and purchase orders.
•Assist Production Finance and Accounting team with monthly and quarterly reporting as needed.
•Respond to internal and external audits by researching and supplying source data and documentation.
•Coordinate with Entertainment Partners to ensure that projects are properly set up (Global Vista, Smart Start, etc).
•Coordinate the payments for Accounts Payable, Payroll and Petty cash on productions as needed (prep/wrap).
•Assist VP with the fiscal management and administration of both internal and external facets of productions.

Skills / Qualities We’re Looking For:
•Highly motivated to own all aspects of production finance for various TV/film & animated productions autonomously.
•Attention to detail required and is the most valuable quality for this position.
•Ability to learn quickly, self-review, check accuracy of work, develop systems to catch errors, and more importantly learn from mistakes.
•Superb work ethic and a calm temperament under pressure.
•Curious, passionate, and enthusiastic about entertainment production/ finance / accounting.

Education / Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration preferred
•Must have experience working in TV/Film production accounting/finance. 2+ years of experience preferred.
•Strong Excel skills required.
•Global Vista, MMB, Scenechronize & Smart: Accounting, Smart Time & Smart Start experience required.
