Here at the Studio we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with interest in Entertainment third party reporting to join our participation team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at an early, high growth stage and have ownership of multiple functions. Applicant must possess keen logical thinking capabilities and attentive to details. Strong comfort interpreting participation agreements and willingness to learn/absorb new concepts is pertinent. Above average writing and organizational skills are necessary, as position will have a level of autonomy.

This position will work with the Business Affairs, Legal, Internal Audit, Residuals, Music Finance, and Licensing & Merchandising to create alignment, develop checks and balances within the approval/payment process, and analyze distribution.

The position will continuously audit the current controls, and policies for the worldwide distribution to ensure all local originals are in unison with the intent of the talent, and distribution agreements. This position requires collaboration with the said business partners to revise the MAGR structure for local originals as the business changes. The role will own this process and facilitate financial impacts across the organization.

The person in this position will have visibility up to leadership levels at Amazon Studios. This role is expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, anticipate the needs of the business partners, and provide solutions by analyzing the data, impacts, and agreed to terms in current deals.

Key job responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Own the licensing and merchandising work flow.
• Own international reporting and track by territory.
• Quality control and internal audit of participation statements
• Create and maintain forecast models.
• Draft Amazon standard documents upon request.
• Support monthly and quarterly close request.
• Reconcile revenue and maintain A/R aging reports.
• Work with tech teams on system building, testing, and integration.
• Drive process improvements.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned

• 3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

• BA/BS Accounting Degree or Finance Degree required.
• Must have 2-3 years prior experience in participations and/or residuals in the entertainment industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Prior experience in entertainment industry consulting is a plus.

Preferred qualifications:
• Above average understanding of Participations.
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
