Job Description

Small independent entertainment company is seeking to fill the role of Financial Analyst to provide accurate and data based reporting on company’s financial health. The successful candidate will focus on providing financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements. Reports to the head of operations.

• Consolidate and analyze financial data
• Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status
• Develop financial models
• Provide financial statements monthly and quarterly
• Prepare documentation for the quarterly close, and preparation of audited financial documents
• Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Assist in tax planning
• Assist in savings and strategic investment decisions
• Provide weekly reports to head of operations and general manager

• At least 1 year of experience as a Financial Analyst
• Expert in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications (including Quickbooks)
• Expert written and oral communication skills
• Superior knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and data analysis
• Good team skills, interest in being part of great team and raising the quality of the game.
• BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field
• Experience with entertainment financial software: Global Vista, Time Trax, Movie Magic Budgeting
• Experience with entertainment budgeting cycles
• Experience with serialized television
• Interest or experience in animation
