Production Co (Burbank) needs In-house Prod Accountant
Small work-for-hire production company in Burbank needs in-house Production Accountant to process P/R (20-50 crew depending on project volume), Petty Cash, Purchase Orders and A/P [all accounting functions] plus budgeting, cash flow and cost reporting.
Easy pace in laid back environment outside of weekly cost reports and meeting payroll processing deadlines. Most complex elements of job are crew allocation to multiple shows (split day function of Showbiz TimeCards) and multiple cost reports and related tracking budgets (approved final budgets actualized and updated to track EFCs in Media Web) for 4 to 8 shows at any given time during the year. No Hot Cost reporting.
Prefer daily show format and/or reality experience but strong 1st Assistant & Lead Accountant experience a must whether scripted or unscripted (no less than 5 yrs production accounting work experience). Must work independently with little to no supervision but with communication skill to work well with hiring studio’s Production Executive, In-house and Freelance Line Producers and Crew.
Must have heavy Showbiz Time Cards and Media Web experience.
Position is non-union, weekly pay with no benefits. We have projects booked through September 2016 and in negotiations for additional projects through March 2017, all with strong potential to continue beyond.
