Production Accountant, Full Time, Long Term (Southeast Coast U.S.).

**Position will be located on the southeast coast. Additional details will be shared with qualified candidates on an individual basis.

The Production Accountant is responsible for general and specialized cost and resource analysis. The Production Accountant will report to Controller and works closely with the accounting and production staff and must possess a strong understanding of the accounting principles within the entertainment industry.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Partners with Controller to manage Budgets and Costs.
• Supports Production and corporate finance in financial planning including headcount resource and systems budgeting.
• Collaborates with executive and production team to provide weekly cost analytics.
• Setting up structures to maximize available rebates and manage regular audit process associated with rebates.
• Works with production management on payroll review and expense report handling.
• Lead weekly reviews of production cost reports to show film costs at any given stage of production and estimates to complete.
• Effectively lead accounting team consisting of AP and Payroll associate, providing solid feedback and constructive direction as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years accounting experience in the Entertainment Industry are preferred.
• Knowledge of domestic film production, tax incentives (rebates, credits), etc.
• Expert proficiency in Excel. Experience with production accounting tools and accounting systems such as SAP and Media Services a plus.
• Business partnering approach. Open and direct communication style, good listening skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, seasoned and self-assured.
• Must be flexible, adaptable to working in creatively driven environment. Handles challenging issues with diplomacy. Able to facilitate cross-functional problem-solving.
• An energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong service orientation. Ability to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines. Focused on continuing improvements to the organization in striving for excellence.

Must be able to track separate parallel projects under one umbrella.
