Job Description

NYC Production Company is seeking an experienced Production Accountant.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage day to day expenses for Corporate and two subsidiaries.
• Review Budgets and prepare cost reports and cash flows with EIC/Line Producer.
• Set-up new shows with payroll company.
• Process payroll and possess knowledge of entertainment employee regulations.
• Create and maintain ledger tailored to company’s needs.
• Work closely with Line Producer/UPM to manage expenses of all productions from development to delivery.
• Track and prepare above the line payments.
• Manage Assistant Accountants and Clerk.
• Assist Head of Finance with office management.
• Analyze, manage, and report on cash flows from accounts payable.
• Work with the EIC and Head of Finance to maintain appropriate financial and operational controls.
• Maintain records of invoices and creditors’ payments.
• Keep records of all transactions.
• Responsible for audit/processing accounts payable, invoices, purchase orders, and petty cash.
• Process checks & wire transfers.
• Maintain filing.
• Prepare insurance claims.
• Responsible for bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end and year end reports for Head of Finance.
• Administer tax compliance filing including 1099’s.
• Maintain accounting procedures and controls.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans
• Strong leadership skills to manage teams and relationships

Basic Requirements
• Must have a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Entertainment Industry Accounting
• Software Proficiency Required: EP Global Vista, Movie Magic Budgeting, Quick Books, Excel, MS Office Skills, and any production budgeting modules a plus
