Position Overview

The Team Companies seek to expand our national sales team with an experienced, dynamic individual who possesses a self-starting entrepreneurial spirit and a consultative approach to business development. The ideal candidates will have at least 10 years’ sales experience in the advertising or entertainment industries. An understanding of the Employer of Record (EOR) payroll function is a plus. The candidate is expected to develop and implement sales strategy and monitor and analyze sales activity against goals.The candidate will be directly involved in expanding TTC’s marketplace position among stakeholders who lead in the development and creation of advertising content. This motivated multi-tasker will inform prospective clients on our wide range of payroll and advertising business affairs services including our technology platforms that support content creation from ideation through distribution in all media. The Director of Business Development will also assist in servicing established accounts nationally. We are looking for closers with a great track record and leadership ability who seek an exciting and rewarding opportunity in an exploding sector of the advertising & entertainment industries. Discretion in handling company and private or personal client and employee information is required, along with a positive attitude, professional ethics, appearance, and conduct.

Selling our broad range of services in Talent (performers), Print (models) and Production (crew) Payroll as well as Talent Business Affairs & Production Business Management offerings.
Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology.
Work towards a defined budget goal.
Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts.
Participate in the development of RFIs and RFPs.
Establish and implement short and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures towards reaching given budget.
Represent the company at industry conferences and trade events
Aid in the preparation and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
Promote positive relations with partners, brands and agencies.
Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop long term goals to increase revenue for the division.
Prospect and develop strong executive and management level relationships with corporate marketers, ad agencies and production companies.
Negotiate and close business that includes enterprise-level, multi-million-dollar deals.
Achieve and sustain sales goals, be accountable for sales budgets and maintain details on existing and target accounts via Hubspot CRM.
Keeping top management apprised of activities, opportunities and market demands.

Minimum educational requirement: College degree. BA in business, communications and/or marketing preferred.
At least 10 years’ work experience, with at least 8 years in outside sales.
Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate internally and externally with Fortune 500 corporations, their advertising agencies and production companies.
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
Position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
Recent experience in advertising and/or content production.
Proven track record of success in sales to ad agencies and corporate advertisers.
Quick study for learning details of TTC services and technology product offerings.
Highly effective presentation, written and oral communication skills.
Effective listener and ability to develop the best solutions to meet the specific needs of each corporate advertiser, ad agency, and commercial content production company.
Excellent deal-closing abilities.
Diligent researcher who stays apprised of market conditions and competitive activities.
Effective organizational and time management abilities.
Hubspot proficiency preferred.
Proficient in MS Office — including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Team player with ability to work well under pressure.

Special Work Conditions
Sedentary – involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
