Job Description

Amazon Studios is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Culver City-based team. The Sr. Financial Analyst will report directly to the Head of Original Content Planning and Analysis, and will lead financial planning efforts for one of our Amazon Original series creative departments (e.g., unscripted). With direct influence over content investment decisions and strategy, this is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who is passionate about data, analytics, driving value for customers, and, of course, video content.

Key job responsibilities
· Provide financial analyses and strategic support to our Creative and Business Affairs Executives throughout their decision-making processes
· Implement strategies to increase the efficiency of our Studio operations
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
· Contribute to post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement on past content investment decisions
· Provide timely, accurate and complete financial forecasting and reporting for our Original series content budgets

A day in the life
This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modelling skills, keen attention to detail and the ability to interface with senior business leaders to drive the organization to the right result. This role has regular interaction with multiple teams across Amazon Studios and Prime Video, and requires strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to innovate and problem-solve. The successful candidate will have operated in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment and will be able to prioritize multiple projects.

· 5+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
· BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Math, Economics or similar discipline with an analytical bias.
· Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders / projects.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
· An eye for continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify finance and operational processes.
· Advanced proficiency in Excel.
· Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (e.g. Oracle).

· Previous Entertainment/Media experience.
· Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools.
