Emily Rice grew up in Seattle watching foreign films on rainy days (that’s what you did in Seattle in the 70s), and was always great at math. She combined those loves and came to L.A. in 1986 and landed a studio finance position at a small studio. After 2 years she Keyed her first Feature, and soon was in Europe keying a foreign series. She freelanced for 13 years and then formed Rice Gorton Pictures in 2001 with Jack Gorton in the backyard of their home (hoping to keep an eye on their 2 kids while growing the post accounting business). Rebranded to Emily RIce & Co in 2024; Emily has supervised the post accounting on 240 projects, from small reality Pilots to 300m features, and everything in between.
